Channa Masala

Items Required:

Garam masala
Tomato juice
Tamarind juice
corriander leaves
Oil and salt

For masala:

Chilly powder
dhania powder
jeera powder


Soak channa for 8 hrs and pressure cook it. Make sure it is not boiled too much. Now heat oil in a kadai and add the ground masala to it. Keep it in the kadai till the raw smell is gone. Now add the tomato juice, tamarind juice and channa to it. Add salt and let this cook for 2 mins. Now add garam masala to this mix and keep it in flame for few more mins.

Remove from flame. Garnish it with corriander leaves. It goes very well with chapathi and pooris.
