This is one of my favourite from my mom's preparation. Its not as thick and heavy as adai and is not similar to a typical dosai. The batter can be prepared and can be stored in fridge for 2 days.
Items Required:
idly rice - 6 cups
toor dhal - 1 cup
urad dhal - 3/4 cup
red chilly - according to taste
tomatoes - 2 if big or 4 if small
salt
hing
Grind rice, dhal and chillies together. Once 90% is ground, add the tomatoes and grind it nicely making sure the tomato skin is not seen. Now add hing and salt and mix it well. Keep it aside for 30 mins.
Prepare delicious dosas from this mix. Coconut chutney is a good combination for this dosai.

Tomato dosa looks very crisp and Nice,I too make tomato dosa but my version is completely different..Liked this simple version a lot....
