Oats Upma


Items Required (Picture 1)
Oats - 3 cups
onion, tomato, carrot, beans, green chilly, curry leaves and coriander leaves - as required
mustard seeds and urad dhal - as required
Water - 2 tumblers
salt and oil - as required
Curd - little

Method:
Coursely mix the oats with little curd and keep it aside. Let it be like that for 10 mins. After 10 mins, oats should be dry and seperate. (Picture 2)
Now cut onion, tomato, carrot, beans and green chilly. Now heat kadai with little oil and add mustard seeds to it. Then add urad dhal and once it becomes golden brown, add onion to it (Pic 4)
Once onion turns golden brown, add the vegetables and fry for 2 mins.(Pic 5)
Now add tomato and fry again.(Pic 6)
Now add water, turmeric powder and salt (Pic 7)
Once the water starts boiling and the vegetables are cooked properly, add the oats to it and mix well. (Pic 8)
Keep the flame in sim and keep on mixing the upma. After 5 mins, we can see the oats cooked well and all water drained. Remove from flame and garnish with corriander leaves(Pic 9)
